"Local Artist Day" The "Local Artist Day" sponsored by the Bollinger County Library in Marble Hill and co-sponsored by the Cat Ranch Art Guild is set for June 14th, 9AM-3PM. This event will take place in the city park, located by Jeri's Restaurant.
Pottery Classes Paul White Eagle and Rose Wiesler are giving pottery classes. If interested call Paul at 1-573-238-2967. Classes will run most Wednesdays at 6 pm classes are postponed till spring! Clay furnished for a small fee, donations for other necessities welcome.

Lots Going On! Up dates were given about several members who have special events or good news happening. Paul White Eagle and a friend have written a book entitled "Indian Tales by Wolf and White Eagle" that is in print now. You can order it through Barns and Noble. Stan Crader and Linda Schreckenburg were with others in a book signing at the Bollinger County Library this past week. Bill Hopkins one act play was selected to be rewritten to a longer version with the stage production manager working with Bill on the rewriting. He does not have to resubmit his play. Bill does not know when or if it will be a stage play, but it looks extremely promising. Jeanie Eddleman is giving a college lecture in Dr. Joel Ray's college business class that he teaches at the River Campus on "Art as a Business" with emphasis on the Cat Ranch Art Guild, her art business and WESTRAY Photography that she is operations manager.

On May 24th there will be a banquet at Global Café for the change in show artists in the Cadmium River Studio, next door to Global Café, run by our member Randy Hays. There will be a luncheon from 11AM-2:30PM for anyone wanting to come in to eat and view the artwork. The cost of the luncheon will be $8. Then the artist reception will be at 5PM, that night, with the show starting and running from 6PM-9PM. The cost of the banquet will be $10.
Grant Lund Workshop "Things you wish they would have taught you in art school", April 24, 25, 26, 28, 29 at the Cadmium River Studio located next to Global Cafe at 1309 Broadway. $10 for live life drawing on Saturday 9AM-11:30AM. 1PM-3:30 FREE critique up to 3 pieces. The Arts Council of Cape Girardeau exhibit this month will be held from April 4-26. In Gallery 100 artist Robert Grable, Jerry Miller will be in the Lorimier Gallery, and in the Jean A. Chapman Gallery the Visual Arts Cooperative will have an exhibit of their members art work. Hours are 9-5 Mon.-Fri. and 10-4 on Saturday.
